GTI Fabrication is the exclusive manufacturer/fabricator for Drone Energy. Drone Energy and their partners are able to maintain a strong edge over the competition by maximizing utilization, processing power, and profitability via containerized, ultra-high density smart grid technology. GTI builds Drone Energy’s Containerized Smart Grid Units to Drone Energy’s exact specifications.
For this project, GTI performed all of the structural modifications of the units which include removing side walls, welding structural supports for equipment and the removed areas, and site installation. GTI also performed the following electrical work:
- Install 300A 480V 3Ph Switchgear
- Assemble distribution section to switchgear
- Install ten 415/240V 400A 3Ph4W IPP Panelboards 84 circuit
- Install one House panel
- Install raceway system for IPP Panels – which consisted of sizing, calculations for
derating and installing weatherproof wireway system – transition to GRC conduit then PVC
coated steel flexible conduit - Install 600 MCM conductors – terminate in switchgear & panelboard
- Design and install server outlet PDU ( 20 to power 840 Servers)
- Install house lighting and power
- Install five fans with buck-boost transformer system to accommodate VFD’s
- Design and install fusing system to protect VFD’s & fan motors
- Install Temperature Control panel and system – which included heat detection, exterior
temperature sensors, the level interior temperature sensors, water detection, VSD Wiring,
humidity control, EM Stops to interface with shunt trip breakers, MODBUS wiring to interface
with main & branch breaker control - Power metering
